Who is ElectraMet?

Intro

ElectraMet is a team of experienced and passionate professionals dedicated to developing and commercializing innovative water treatment technologies. Our team comes from a variety of backgrounds, including engineering, chemistry, environmental science, and business. This diversity of expertise allows us to approach water process challenges from a holistic perspective and to develop solutions that are both effective and sustainable.

ElectraMet was founded in 2013 as a spin-out from the University of Kentucky. Our mission was to develop a more sustainable and affordable water treatment technology than what was currently available. We believed that activated carbon electrodes and small amounts of electricity could be used to remove metals from wastewater more efficiently and effectively than traditional chemical-based methods.

After years of research and development, we launched our first commercial water treatment system in 2016. Since then, we have helped industries of all sizes to reduce their environmental impact and save money on water treatment costs. Our technology has also been recognized for its innovation and potential impact on the water treatment industry.
